The Massachusetts Service Alliance has awarded Inspiring Service a contract to implement an advanced technology platform for connecting the public to active nonprofits all over the Commonwealth.
MSA, established in 1991 as a private, nonprofit organization, is the state commission on volunteerism and service. Its strong partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies allow it to mobilize funding to advance service and volunteerism through the AmeriCorps, Commonwealth Corps, and Volunteer Generation Initiatives programs.
“The new Inspiring Service platform is the most advanced platform anywhere for connecting skilled volunteers to nonprofits,” the organization said.
The platform is actually four guides that then roll-up to a statewide tool. The four guides currently cover Greater Boston & North, MetroWest, the Berkshires and Cape Cod and Islands. Additional guides covering other parts of the Commonwealth will be added as organizations step forward to represent their respective regions.
Encore Boston Network and Empower Success Corps are key partners in the Boston & North guide. “Encore Boston Network is pleased to be a partner in bringing this exciting new tool to our members, to all who want to do good work and to our state,” said Doug Dickson, chair of the network.
